Mission Statement:
At Nicholas Dance Studio, founded by Cathie Nicholas, granddaughter of the legendary Nicholas Brothers, our mission is to ignite a passion for dance while fostering creativity, discipline, and self-expression in individuals of all ages and backgrounds. Inspired by the rich legacy of our family, we strive to uphold the tradition of excellence in dance education and performance.
We are committed to providing a nurturing and inclusive environment where students can explore various dance styles, develop technical proficiency, and cultivate a lifelong love for the art form.
In partnership with the Los Angeles Unified School District (LAUSD), Inglewood Unified School District, and numerous private schools, Nicholas Dance Studio extends its reach across diverse communities, bringing high-quality dance education directly to students from Mulholland Drive to Watts. These collaborations enable us to enrich the lives of students by integrating dance into
their academic experience, promoting physical fitness, creativity, and cultural appreciation.
Together with our dedicated team of instructors, staff, and community partners, Nicholas Dance Studio is dedicated to shaping the next generation of dancers, instilling confidence, discipline, and a lifelong appreciation for the transformative power of dance.

The Los Angeles Conservancy is a nonprofit membership organization whose mission is to work through education and advocacy to recognize, preserve, and revitalize the historic architectural and cultural resources of Los Angeles County.
We believe that Los Angeles County is a place where people value the past and consider it an essential part of our present and future. Through our walking tours and other special events, we have brought countless Los Angeles residents and visitors closer to the historic buildings and unique spaces that make Los Angeles so special. We raise awareness about issues affecting Angelenos, their neighborhoods, and the legacy businesses we cherish—and make resources, technical support, training, and financial assistance available to small legacy businesses in need. We proactively work on preservation issues throughout the County and in response to specific threats to cultural and architectural historic resources. And we nurture the next generation of preservationists by bringing history to life to thousands of students each year.
